Two experienced Rock Hill attorneys join Frost Echols

ROCK HILL, SC – August 1, 2025 – Two experienced York County attorneys have joined Frost Echols to expand the firm’s civil litigation practice. Frost Echols has a national practice focusing on creditors’ rights and collection defense with an office in Rock Hill.

The addition of Charlie Burnette and Baxter “Bax” Burnette, formerly of Burnette Law, allows Frost Echols to offer clients additional services in areas such as personal injury litigation, construction litigation, workers’ compensation, mechanics’ liens, and more.

Charlie Burnette has practiced in Rock Hill since 1979. His vast experience and extensive legal knowledge combine with a commitment to dedicated service. He’s long taken pride in crafting a personal approach for every client.

“Frost Echols is growing, deeply rooted in this area, and has a strong group of attorneys,” Charlie Burnette said. “Our mission at Burnette Law always has been to provide excellent representation for local folks needing help with civil legal issues. Joining Frost Echols allows us to combine our decades of experience with their legal resources and talents.”

Like many of the Frost Echols attorneys, Bax Burnette is licensed in both South Carolina and North Carolina, serving clients in the upstate of South Carolina, the Charlotte metro area, and beyond. He works relentlessly to protect every client’s interest, whether the case involves a contract dispute, business litigation, or personal injury.

“We are delighted to have Charlie and Bax on the Frost Echols team,” firm co-founder Mike Frost said. “We are always looking for opportunities to better serve our clients, and Charlie and Bax offer skills and experiences in several areas that will allow us to provide a wider range of representation.”

Firm co-founder Chad Echols said he has long been impressed with the courtroom experience and client commitment of Burnette Law. “I’ve seen first-hand the high quality of their work and depth of their trial experience. Our clients will greatly benefit from their knowledge, experience, and dedication.”

The addition of Charlie and Bax Burnette is Frost Echols’ second expansion in recent weeks. In early June, Frost Echols opened an Ohio office as part of its commitment to serving clients across the country.

Many Frost Echols attorneys are licensed in multiple states and federal courts, including Arkansas, Florida, Illinois, Iowa, Michigan, New York, North Carolina, Ohio, Oklahoma, South Carolina, Texas and Wisconsin. The firm offers trial and appellate representation in both state courts and in federal district and circuit courts, as well as before the U.S. Supreme Court.
