Frost Echols Welcomes Karen Scheibe Eliason as Firm’s Newest Attorney

Frost Echols is pleased to announce the addition of a Minnesota attorney with more than 25 years of experience in consumer financial services compliance and creditors’ rights litigation.

Karen Scheibe Eliason is licensed to practice in Minnesota and the U.S. District Court for the District of Minnesota. She advises financial services companies, collection entities, and creditors on regulatory and statutory compliance. She manages litigation involving the FDCPA, FCRA, TCPA, and other consumer financial services laws. Karen has experience with matters before the CFPB, FTC and state attorneys general.

Before joining Frost Echols, Karen served as General Counsel and Chief Compliance Officer for national revenue cycle management and debt purchasing organizations. Previously, she served as Vice President and Senior Corporate Counsel at ACA International. At ACA, she led the organization’s national litigation advocacy program in federal courts, including the U.S. Supreme Court.

Karen earned her J.D. from Mitchell Hamline School of Law and a B.A., cum laude, from Minnesota State University Moorhead.
